Why did I get an error message that my email or password is incorrect or has already been used?

If you selected “Yes, I’m already a member”:
You received this error message because your email and/or password did not match our records. Please enter the same email you used when you signed up for your community membership (e.g., in Diabetic Connect, Sleep Connect, Arthritis Connect, etc.). Also, please enter the password you chose when you signed up for your community membership. If you have forgotten your password, please email community@alliancehealth.com to request your password be reset.

It may also be possible that you are not already a member of one of our communities. If this is the case, please select “No—I’d like to sign up now” and fill in the required fields.

If you selected “No—I’d like to sign up now”:
If you received an error message stating “that you have previously used your email address to join one of our communities,” then your email address is already associated with a Connect Community profile. You should select “Yes, I’m already a member” and simply enter the password you selected when you created your membership. If you have forgotten your password, please send an email to community@alliancehealth.com to request your password be reset.

What is a community nickname and how can I choose an available nickname?

The community nickname is the alias you will be known by in our online community. Because the nickname is what appears with any comment or discussion you post, each user must have a unique name. As we have thousands of members, it can sometimes be a little tricky to come up with a community nickname that’s not already in use.

Here are some suggestions to modify the name you want that will make it unique:

  • 1. Add your state abbreviation at the end (example: johnnyTX)
  • 2. Add punctuation or a special character (example: sara.jo or sara*jo)
  • 3. Choose a name that identifies your hobbies (example: butterflychaser)
  • 4. Add a year—like H.S. Graduation or the year your child was born (example: mamajackie07)

Why won’t the form allow me to enter my birth date?

Why do you need the password for my email account?

We do not want or need the password to your email account. Our system uses your email address as a way to uniquely identify your account. At the time you created your account, you chose a password for your community membership. The community password you created is the password you need to enter on this form to be able to login to your account.
